how to add links without the option "comments" to wordpress?

I want to use wordpress as a nromal site not a journal , only my first page I want it to be like a journal/updates. the rest is normal pages but all in the same layout.

how do you do that without having "comments" in , for example "about" section?

ah that depends on the theme. Some themes come with a comment form in pages and posts. To remove that you have to remove it in the theme editor, in the page.php file
